Nasi Goreng Strawberi

DSC_0686

Picking up from where we left off at the previous post, we left the winding roads of Gunung Brinchang that afternoon and headed towards town.

Where Jimmy’s constant complaining reminding led us to enjoying Cameron’s signature road side fried mushrooms - basically deep fried battered mushrooms.

Then we visited the EQ Strawberry Farm to pluck some strawberries of our own.

This was when the camera strayed away from my hands.

Not that, of course.

DSC_0758

According to Choong Hern & Zhen Feng, the one on the left’s Ying Qian. xD

Job well done! Two trays of hand-picked strawberries.

Following that, we went to a nearby cacti farm to purchase em miniature cacti.

DSC_0795

Well, not me. I just went around snapping photos.

Finally, we then dropped by a petrol station where Zhen Feng and I stayed in the car and watched Alvin and Choong Hern attempt to clean the windscreen and car bonnet. Well, I got out to take this shot but you get what I mean.

DSC_0834

Whereas Jimmy went outta the car just to peel his corn for consumption at the petrol station itself. Must’ve enjoyed the aroma of petrol.

Back at our hotel..

I’d rather not elaborate.

Really.

DSC_0857

Later that evening when we were about to leave the hotel for dinner, someone’s dog decided to take a poop in the middle of the road, sniff it, and run away.

DSC_0874

Overly-filling dinner at Restoran You Hoo at Brinchang. We were there for an hour and a half, eating our way through the huge plate of steamboat stuff, besides the extra Yee Mee that the boss gave us on the house. At the end of the meal, Zhen Feng found a little worm in his bowl. Guess the noodles weren’t the only extras. xD

DSC_0891

Like the previous night, we chilled out at KFC after dinner.

Before hitting the streets on foot once again.

DSC_0901

Don’t get me started on this. Someone spotted some toy at the mini market’s upper floor which was called “Transformables” - Jimmy could’ve spotted it himself, I don’t remember - but when Jimmy saw it, he could not stop laughing. After Alvin joined him, Zhen Feng and I couldn’t stop ourselves from laughing AT them either. I’ve got video evidence. xD

Then it was another night spent watching retarded YouTube clips like Charlie The Unicorn, prank acts, prank paybacks, prank calls, and so on. Also watched Couples Retreat.

The next morning..

DSC_0914

As Jimmy had to be back home that afternoon to catch his bus to Genting Highlands, after getting up in the morning, we headed straight to the market to purchase some produce to bring back home.

DSC_0926

But after spotting a little shop along that road, we decided to have breakfast there. Yes Jimmy, you were right - “Sure got nasi lemak wan”. Anyways, that’s the fried mushrooms in the picture too. And if you were wondering what’s with the post title, nasi goreng strawberi was on the shop menu too.

DSC_0928

So we got our stuff to bring home - strawberries, corn, vegetables, and cherry tomatoes.

DSC_0930

Then we headed back to the car. Just as I opened the door and was about to get in, I turned around only to find Jimmy doing his business right behind me. Talk bout having your own personal space (for Jimmy, that is).

DSC_0931

During the journey back, we opened the second tray of strawberries that we picked from the day before. It was RM15 per tray. And I quote Jimmy, “I think I just ate RM10 worth of strawberries”. You get the picture. Even till now, I don’t feel like eating strawberries. Must be all the illegal eating while we were picking at the farm. xD

Anyways, back at my place, Choong Hern & Zhen Feng went off to SS2 for lunch at CharSiewZhai’s newly opened third outlet whereas I followed Alvin who sent Jimmy back.

DSC_0943

Entertaining ride. We were at the Damansara Toll when Alvin wanted to top up his Touch ‘n Go, so he got out a RM100 note, and we gave him RM1 worth of coins - wanted to see the lady’s reaction. Quite potong when she said “Syiling tak boleh”.

DSC_0945

But before that, Jimmy found Alvin’s air freshener spray thingy and stuck it to the car ceiling above him. At that moment, Alvin turned around to check out what he was doing. Guess you can say that I wasn’t surprised when Jimmy ter-pressed the spray, which went directly into Alvin’s eye(s). Good times, good times.

So dropped Jimmy off back home and headed to SS2 for lunch before going back. And that’s the end of our trip to Cameron Highlands!

I’ve gotta feeling that I’m gonna be “over-blogging” in the days to come. But I guess that’s the only way to keep up to date. So yup, keep visiting www.pingchienng.com for even more updates!
